Saint Rita of Cascia is the Patron Saint of desperate cases and of unhappy marriages. After a violent marriage, Saint Rita dedicated her life to prayer and penance. She was so much devoted to the Passion of Christ, of asking in her prayers to share the same pain of Jesus on the cross: one day while praying she felt a thorn in her forehead, producing a deep wound that never healed. So our craftsmen faithfully depict Saint Rita in her most iconic representation, in this resin statue completely hand painted.
