St James, also known as James the Apostle and St James the Greater, was one of the 12 apostles of Jesus. His shrine is the Santiago de Compostela Cathedral, the destination of the legendary Camino de Santiago (the Way of St. James). James the Apostle is commonly depicted holding a stick with a pumpkin. Secondary attributes can be a pilgrim bag, or a pilgrim dress, a cap, and a shell.
